ADULT CLASSES: AGES 16+

Education is at the core of the Chicago Industrial Arts and Design Center’s Mission. At CIADC, we believe that given a basic understanding of material, process, and safety, anyone can create objects effectively and confidently. We teach classes year-round on quarterly terms to fit a variety of schedules.

CIADC offers continuing education for Adults ages 16+ in Casting & Molding, Metalworking & Forging, Technology & Design, and Woodworking all under one roof. Refine your skills in one shop or take advantage of all that CIADC has to offer by taking classes in all four departments.

Our Adult Classes teach a fundamental approach that builds a foundation of knowledge across all objects, styles, and experience levels.

We welcome artists, craftspersons, hobbyists, makers, designers, innovators, dabblers, newbies – anyone looking to learn a new skill in a fun, safe, and creative environment! Our instructors will guide you through 3D object creation from concept to reality and teach you the best practices to fit your project.
