“If you can dream it, our CNC machines will help you create it”
Chicago, IL - The Chicago Industrial Arts & Design Center (“CIADC”) announces a major expansion in programming: The launch of a Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) Studio.
“Integrating shop-sized CNC machines into our existing programming will give the Chicagoland public access to 21st century manufacturing methods, and that will empower our makers to turn virtually any sculptural, functional, decorative, or product-oriented ideas into objects”, CIADC Founder & President Matthew Runfola states. “CNC machines are the bridge between technology and the creative design and build process using permanent materials”. The launch of the CNC Studio is supported in large part by a generous grant award from a leading CAD software developer. CIADC is expected to open the CNC Studio in May of 2018. Information on class offerings and related programming will be posted on CIADC’s website, www.ciadc.org.
