New Students will first work on guided projects while gaining fundamental skills with saw and shear cutting, bending, forging, torch welding, and finishing before embarking on personal projects. Deeper skills of MIG and TIG welding, plasma cutting, cold connections, and brazing will also be covered. Returning Students will further their skillsets through personal projects with instructor guidance.
Note: No experience required. Attendance in the first session is mandatory for New Students. Natural fiber clothing, long pants, and closed-toe shoes are required while working at CIADC. Project material fees are not included and can be purchased at CIADC. Total material cost for beginning project is approximately $20-$30.
