Prerequisite: Completion of previous FMF100- or 200-level adult class
Ages: 16+
Advance in the fabrication methods used with functional, decorative, or sculptural metal objects. Learn to translate concept to design, choosing the material and process that best suit the form and function desired. Students work on independent projects throughout the course with one-on-one attention given. Group demonstrations and exercises, class discussions, and critiques will be used to assist each student with their creative metalworking goals.
Note: This class is open only to students who have completed a FMF100-level or 200-level Core Class (5-week, 10-week, or Immersion). Attendance in the first session is mandatory. Natural fiber clothing, long pants, and closed-toe shoes are required while working at CIADC. Project material fees are not included and can be purchased at CIADC.
